Vantage Certified Master

About the certification

A Vantage Certified Master has the proven knowledge and skills necessary to be a technical authority for designing, implementing, performing analytics on, and managing a Teradata enterprise-wide data warehouse. This individual can provide recommendations on all aspects of the data warehouse lifecycle from conceptualization through production implementation and ongoing management and support.

Vantage Master 2.0 certifications will be obtained by earning the following certifications:

Vantage Data Science Master certifications will be obtained by earning the following certifications: 

Vantage Certified Masters earn their certification (Vantage 1) by passing the Advanced Administrator, Advanced Developer, and System Architect Exams. See prerequisite for additional information. Teradata 14 Masters bypass options are available.

Already Certified in Teradata 14?

All Teradata 14 certification holders can bypass at least the Associate Exam in the current Vantage Certification track.

RECERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
There are NO expiration dates for Master certifications.

CREDENTIALS
Successful completion of the Analytics, Data Science and Data Engineering exams earns a Vantage Data Science Master certification with a digital badge.

Successful completion of the Administration, Data Engineering and Architecture exams earns a Vantage Certified Master 2.0 certification with a digital badge.

Successful completion of the Advanced Administrator, Advanced Developer, and System Architect exams earns a Vantage Certified Master certification with a digital badge. 

RECOMMENDED EXPERIENCE
The recommended experience for the Vantage Master 2.0 is to be determined.

The recommended experience that a Vantage Data Science Master should have is 2-3 years of experience as an analyst/consultant, 2-3 years experience as a data scientist, 2-3 years experience3 as a data engineer, education or equivalence in basic statistics, a basic understanding of SQL and data science as well as experience with syntax for writing expressions. 

The recommended experience that a Vantage Certified Master should have is 5+ years of Teradata Ecosystem and Advanced SQL Engine experience, and 3+ years general industry experience as an architect. 

PREREQUISITES
Passing the Administration, Data Engineering and Architecture exams is required to earn the Vantage Master 2.0.

Passing the Analytics, Data Science and Data Engineering exams is required to earn the Vantage Data Science Master.

Passing the Advanced Administrator, Advanced Developer, and System Architect Exams is required. Candidates with a Teradata 14 Master certification may bypass the Vantage Associate, Administrator, and Developer exams. Bypassed exams do not earn the individual the associated certification.
