Victor L. Lund has served on Teradata’s Board of Directors since 2007, and has served as chair of its Audit Committee. Previously, Lund was the non-executive chairman of the board of DemandTec, Inc., a publicly-held, on-demand applications company, from December 2006 until February 2012.

Prior, Lund was non-executive chairman of the board of Mariner Health Care, Inc., a long-term health care services company, from 2002 to 2004, and he was vice chairman of Albertson’s, Inc. from 1999 to 2002. Lund was also chairman of the board of American Stores Company from 1995 until 1999 and its chief executive officer from 1992 until 1999. During his 22-year career with American Stores, Lund also held many operating executive positions. He also serves as a director of Service Corporation International and has served on a number of publicly-traded company boards, including Del Monte Foods Company and Delta Airlines.

Mikael Bisgaard-Bohr is the executive vice president and chief business development officer, reporting to Vic Lund, president and CEO. Mikael is responsible for aligning resources – either direct or via alliance partners –to ensure that our field resources are well prepared to meet the needs of our customers. In addition, he is responsible for leading the global alliances and learning teams at Teradata.

Mikael is responsible for identifying new trends and directions in the market of analytics, business intelligence, and big data. He interacts with the largest and most sophisticated users of Teradata technology as well as leading minds in the industry – resulting in a better understanding of how technology is changing the way companies are run, products consumed and the interactions between organizations and consumers.

Mikael has been working with analytic technologies for the last 20 years; prior to his current role he was running Marketing and Business Development for Teradata’s International region. Before that he was a thought leading business consultant focused on the retail industry. Mikael holds an MBA from SDA Bocconi.

 Stephen Brobst 

Stephen Brobst
Chief Technology Officer

Stephen Brobst is the chief technology officer (CTO) for Teradata Corporation. He is widely regarded as a leading expert in data warehousing and joined the Teradata team in October of 1999. Previously, Brobst successfully launched three start-up companies related to high-end database products and services in the data warehousing and e-business marketplaces.

These businesses included: Tanning Technology Corporation (IPO on NASDAQ), NexTek Solutions (acquired by IBM) and Strategic Technologies & Systems (acquired by NCR).

Stephen also taught graduate courses at Boston University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in both the MBA program at the Sloan School of Management and in the computer science departments of both universities. He received the instructor of the year award for two of his last five years in the MET Computer Science department at Boston University and continues as a frequent guest lecturer at MIT and the Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Stephen performed Master's and Ph.D. research at MIT, where his dissertation focused on load-balancing and resource allocation for massively parallel computing architectures. He also holds an MBA with joint course and thesis work at the Harvard Business School and the MIT Sloan School of Management. Brobst completed his undergraduate work in electrical engineering and computer science in just three years at University of California, Berkeley, and was awarded the highest honor given to a graduating senior in the College of Engineering (Bechtel Engineering Award). Brobst is an elected member of the Phi Beta Kappa, Eta Kappa Nu, Tau Beta Pi, Sigma Xi, New York Academy of Sciences, University of California, Berkeley Alumni Scholars Association, and the California Scholarship Federation honor societies. He has served as an advisor to the National Academy of Sciences in the area of IT workforce development and also served in Barack Obama’s first term as a member of the President’s Innovation and Technology Advisory Committee (PITAC), a working group of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST).

Stephen Brobst was recently ranked the number four U.S. chief technology officer for 2014. ExecRank screened more than 2,500 Chief Technology Officers from among more than 10,000 CTOs in the United States. The top three CTOs named for 2014 hold positions with Amazon.com, Tesla Motors, and Intel®.

Stephen has authored numerous journal and conference papers in the fields of data management and parallel computing environments and is an internationally recognized practitioner in the area of breakthrough systems implementation. He co-authored Building a Data Warehouse for Decision Support, published by Prentice Hall PTR and is working on a book on Active Data Warehousing® for the real-time enterprise. He has published dozens of technical articles in Intelligent Enterprise Magazine, The International Journal of High Speed Computing, Communications of the ACM, The Journal of Data Warehousing, Enterprise Systems Journal, DM Review, Database Programming and Design, and many others. Brobst has been on the faculty of the Data Warehousing Institute since 1996 and teaches courses related to Real-Time Data Warehousing, High Performance Data Warehouse Design, Data Visualization, and Emerging Technologies in Data Warehousing.

 John Dinning

John Dinning
Executive Vice President & Chief Business Officer

John Dinning is executive vice president and chief business officer for Teradata, reporting to Vic Lund. In this role, John is responsible for leading strategy and marketing for the company. John most recently led the company’s business transformation strategy and direction, and will continue to oversee the action plans to move the organization forward.

Prior to assuming this role, he was responsible for product management and marketing for the Teradata Database, Teradata Aster, Apache™ Hadoop®, hardware platforms, Teradata Unified Data Architecture™ middleware, and tools and utilities, in addition to the Teradata Cloud business.

In his previous role as vice president of corporate development, John was responsible for Teradata’s overall corporate strategy and mergers and acquisitions. Over this time, Teradata broadened its focus by introducing the Teradata Workload Specific Platform Family, as well as completing multiple acquisitions, including the purchases of Aprimo® and Aster Data®, which positioned Teradata to go after the Integrated Marketing Management and big data Analytics market opportunities.

Prior to holding this post, Dinning was vice president, horizontal solutions and global alliances, which included the marketing and business development around Teradata’s customer management, finance and performance management, and demand and supply chain solutions, as well as leadership of Teradata’s global alliances organization. Dinning joined Teradata in 2000 as a result of the acquisition of campaign management start-up Ceres Integration Solutions where he was responsible for marketing, product management, and software quality engineering.

John has also held management positions in finance, sales, and professional services. Additionally, through his management consulting background, Dinning has been engaged in several new product/business development opportunities, organization change, and technology introduction projects across several industries including telecommunications, retail, media and entertainment, and transportation.

John is a graduate of the Ivey School of Business with an Honors Business Administration degree, in London, Ontario, Canada and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

 Dan Harrington

Dan Harrington
Executive Vice President, Consulting & Support Services

Dan Harrington is executive vice president of consulting and support services for Teradata, reporting to Vic Lund. He is responsible for leading the global consulting organization focused on helping customers architect, implement and manage the analytic ecosystem, including Teradata products on premises, in the cloud, and open-source technologies. In addition, he guides the customer services organization as they deliver world-class support to customers around the globe, and the development of analytical business solutions.

Dan has experience in all facets of the business, including sales, services, marketing and engineering and has held multiple leadership roles, including head of Teradata’s international sales and services organization, research and development and worldwide marketing.

Dan started his career with NCR Corporation in 1985 in Dallas, Texas as a sales person, eventually becoming district sales manager for major commercial accounts. In 1991, he was appointed director of marketing for the U.S. communications industry. In 1993, he took on responsibility for NCR’s global expansion into the communications industry as assistant vice president for Worldwide Communications Industry Marketing.

In 1994, he became vice president, Teradata Product Management, and in 1995 he was appointed vice president, Worldwide Teradata Marketing, where he helped successfully guide the company’s growth in data warehousing. Three years later he was named vice president, Worldwide Marketing for Teradata’s computer business. His European assignment began in 1999 when he was appointed area manager of Teradata Northern Europe and subsequently Dan became vice president of sales for Teradata Europe. During his assignment, the region achieved major growth in sales, profitability and new strategic customers.

In 2005, he returned to the U.S. to head up Teradata’s Global Customer Services business and continued to hold positions of increasing responsibility.

Based in Rancho Bernardo, CA, Dan earned a Master’s degree in business management and graduated with distinction from the J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Angelo State University, graduating summa cum laude.

 Peter Mikkelsen

Peter Mikkelsen is executive vice president of the International organization, reporting to Vic Lund. Peter is responsible for growing sales and services for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, Japan and China.

Prior to this role, Peter was vice president and general manager of Teradata’s Northern, Central and Eastern Europe Area (UK & Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Czech, Poland, Hungary Russia, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland), as well as Managing Director of Teradata Denmark. In this role, Peter was responsible for Teradata’s overall business in the Area including responsibility for sales, professional services and support services.
  
During his career Peter has held a number of different sales and marketing positions, including management positions with both EMEA-wide and global scope.

Based in Copenhagen, Peter holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from Copenhagen University.

Laura Nyquist

Laura earlier served as vice president of corporate affairs and secretary to NCR’s board of directors. She also held the position of chief privacy officer for NCR, coordinating the company’s privacy programs. In January 2007, NCR announced its intent to spin-off Teradata, and Nyquist was appointed General Counsel for the post-spin Teradata Corporation.

Laura began her NCR career in 1986 as an attorney in the corporate law section of the company’s law department, holding a number of positions. She was named to head that group in 1992 with responsibility for providing legal expertise in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, securities, financing and export controls.

Before joining NCR, Laura was an attorney in private practice in Minneapolis, and began her law career as an attorney with the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.

Laura received her law degree from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor’s degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn. She is currently active in the Dayton arts community, chairing Dayton’s Culture Works Board of Directors.

 Oliver Ratzesberger

Prior to this appointment, Oliver led the software teams for Teradata Labs, including the Teradata Database, Aster, Client tools, and Viewpoint as well as Hadoop integration. Joining Teradata in early 2013, Oliver has a powerful and impressive background in leading big data analytics initiatives and technology transformation for Fortune 500 organizations. For example, Oliver drove a large analytics effort to consolidate systems into a newly redesigned Unified Data Architecture. He has a successful background in driving analytics culture and advancing the value of high-volume and high-velocity analytics solutions. Oliver spent seven years at eBay, where he was responsible for its data warehouse and big data platforms. During his tenure at eBay, he led eBay’s expansion of analytics and was responsible for the co-development of the Extreme Data Appliance as part of eBay's Singularity project, leading Hadoop engineering teams and driving the integration of Teradata and Hadoop. Prior to eBay, Oliver worked for startups in software development and IT. In addition he has an extensive background in Open Source software development and has been an active contributor and committer to various projects. In 1996, Oliver joined NCR Corporation as a senior consultant for data warehousing in Vienna, Austria – and in 1999 moved to Orange County, CA where he led professional service engagements for Telecom and eBusiness. As director of professional services, he was responsible for projects at Verizon, ATT, T-Mobile, eBay, and Excite, among others. Oliver earned his engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from HTL Steyr in Austria. He lives in San Diego with his wife and two daughters.

Prior to joining Teradata in September 2007, Steve had 20 years of experience as a CFO and more than 10 years in public accounting. He was executive vice president and CFO of Per-Se Technologies, Inc. Steve was executive vice president and CFO for NOVA Information Systems, Inc. from 2000 to 2006 and senior vice president and CFO for Larson-Juhl, Inc. from 1988 to 2000. He held senior auditing positions with Arthur Andersen & Company from 1978 through 1988. He was a member of the board of directors of eResearch Technology, Inc., a publicly-traded biotechnical services and technology company, where he also served as the chair of its audit committee from 2006 - 2012.

Steve grew up in the Midwest and is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater with a bachelor’s degree in business administration - accounting.

Pete also leads financial planning and analysis for Teradata and most recently led the finance team for the Teradata Marketing Applications Division. He was previously chief financial officer for the Americas, where he gained a deep understanding of the region.
