December 2, 2014 | SAN DIEGO

ISO 9001 certification translates into highest quality products for customers

Teradata Corp. (NYSE: TDC), the big data analytics and marketing applications company, today announced that its Teradata Labs research and development group in San Diego achieved ISO (International Standards Organization) certification against the most current ISO 9001:2008 standards. Teradata has successfully maintained an ISO 9001 certification every year since 1992.

"The ISO 9001:2008 certification demonstrates that we are committed to and passionate about quality. The audit sharpens our focus on continually improving all aspects of our products to ensure our customers have the quality solution they require to run their business," said Oliver Ratzesberger, senior vice president software, Teradata Labs. "It also allows us to maintain our leading edge in the competitive global market place."
The successful audit was performed at the San Diego-based Teradata Labs by Dekra Certification, Inc., an independent auditing firm. The ISO 9001:2008 audit evaluates the design, development, and engineering support of scalable data warehouse computer systems including the database software, middleware software, warehousing tools, and scalable hardware. To achieve certification, the organization must demonstrate its ability to provide products that fulfill customer needs and meet applicable regulatory requirements.
The ISO 9001:2008 certification has been renewed by Dekra Certification, Inc. for another three years.
