Teradata to Present Effective Data Analytic Solutions for Businesses at its Middle East Conference in Dubai on March 5

Teradata (NYSE:TDC), the analytic data solutions company, today announced its second Teradata conference tailored to the Middle East. “The Teradata Summit” will take place on March 5, 2012, at the Emirates Towers Hotel in Dubai, UAE. The all-day event will explore a range of business and technical areas addressing data warehousing and the use of data analytics to direct enterprise actions.

Speakers will illustrate how companies in the Middle East can drive better business strategy and draw further competitive advantages through the use of advanced data warehouse technology and data analytics.
“With today’s accelerating data volumes and new types of data, many more corporations are using big data and analytics. These are an opportunity to gain competitive advantage and insights from new data sources such as mobile, market sensors, and social networks. Teradata works closely with its customers to provide the optimal data strategy, architecture and technology necessary to manage these challenges, and cost effectively create new insights,” said Hermann Wimmer, President Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Teradata.
Stephen Brobst, chief technology officer, Teradata Corporation, will deliver an address, “Roadmap and Strategy for the Teradata RDBMS and Platform.” This workshop will explore the best practices for getting full value out of new analytic capabilities targeted at big data. Judy Bayer, director of strategic analytics, Teradata Europe, Middle East and Africa, will talk about, “Analytics: Why Should You Care?”
Leading Teradata customers from the telecommunications and the financial services industry, including Mobinil (Egypt), Ziraat Bankasi, (Turkey), Ufone (Pakistan) and Komercní Banka (Czech Rebuplic) will share their data warehousing and business intelligence practices and illustrate how these practices drive their success.
