Making Data Work: Teradata on leveraging big data ecosystems at first European O’Reilly Strata Conference

Teradata (NYSE: TDC), the analytic data solutions company, announced today that it will participate as elite sponsor at the O’Reilly Strata Conference, which will take place in London on 1-2 October 2012.

Alvin Richards, technical director for EMEA at 10gen, and Duncan Ross, director, data science EMEA, Teradata Corporation, will talk on “Hadoop and Beyond: Real World Architectures” in a joint session of the “Data Science” track. They will explain how companies can leverage big data ecosystems that consist of traditional data warehouses as well as Hadoop and NoSQL technologies. Furthermore the two experts will review how analytics are architected in large enterprises, covering real-time analytics, business intelligence reports, and ad-hoc queries. In particular, Richards and Ross will examine how Hadoop clusters are used and what analytical tasks are executed on them.
