2018 San Jose Data Science Workshop

March 14, 2018

Join us March 14 in San Jose for the Data Science Workshop. This highly interactive experience is led by practitioners with firsthand experience working with the Teradata Analytics Platform. You will walk through several advanced analytic use cases and implement multi-genre advanced analytic techniques at scale on multi-structured data.

At the end of the session attendees will:

  • Participate in hands on exercises to ingest and analyze data to derive critical business insights, and understand how insights could be operationalized in their unique business environments.
  • Learn about the variety of pre-built analytical techniques (e.g., nPath) that anyone in the organization can implement to address critical business needs at speed.
  • Develop an analytic app in the AppCenter framework.
  • Obtain enough practitioner knowledge to become impassioned advocates of advanced analytics as a practice and the Teradata Analytics Platform as the preferred solution within their organizations.

Prerequisites for the workshop include working knowledge of SQL, basic knowledge of scripting language, and experience with command-line interfaces.

Because of the fast-paced nature of this workshop, all labs are done via Teradata Studio client using pre-configured queries. You'll have the chance to run your own queries during some of the labs. The course uses Teradata Studio and Teradata Aster AppCenter to run queries using Teradata QueryGrid and SQL-MR functions on the Teradata Analytics Platform.

The workshop is complimentary.
