Teradata OLAP Connector, a member of the Teradata Business Intelligence Optimizer suite, provides self-service analytics for Excel users by enabling them to access your corporate data stored in the Teradata Data Warehouse. This eliminates the inconsistencies and security concerns associated with the traditional approach of extracting and storing corporate data in the Excel Workbook.

Features & Benefits
Teradata OLAP Connector is installed on the user’s Windows computer similar to an ODBC driver and it supports Excel XP, 2000, 2003, 2007, and 2010. Also bundled is the DBA administrative tool, Teradata Schema Workbench, which models and defines PivotTables definitions and stores them in Teradata so they can be shared across all organizations providing they have the proper access rights.

Primary Components
Teradata Schema Workbench is a visual desktop tool that models and defines schema definitions for use with Excel. By connecting to relational data sources, Schema Workbench defines, edits, and publishes schemas, cubes, dimensions, hierarchies, levels, measures, calculated members, and MDX expressions.
Teradata Aggregate Designer is integrated with Teradata OLAP Connector to create Aggregate Join Indexes within the Teradata Database, which automatically aggregate data as they are loaded into the data warehouse to speed the performance of all OLAP solutions and Excel PivotTables solutions.
