I am trying to install the Teradata GSS Clientnt-i386 12.0.
I get an error 1606. Could not access network location nt-i386\12.00.00.00\.

What do I need to do to address this issue?

Thanks

I was able to get around this by removing an obsolete Registry Entry -

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NCR\Teradata GSSt-i386

Search your registry for nt-i386 to find it.

Once I deleted the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NCR\Teradata GSS key, the installation completed successfully.

I've asked GSC to open an incident on this.

Sorry, the name of the obsolete Registry entry is:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NCR\Teradata GSSt-i386

not

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NCR\Teradata GSSt-i386

OK, so the "backslash n" is screwing my post up...:)

Just delete the registry key -

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NCR\Teradata GSS

this entry has a subkey named nt-i386.

So, I have the same issue; however, I don't even have the NCR entry in my registry, so I have nothing to delete. Any other ideas?

Regards,

Stefan
