Hi Everybody,
Currently we are looking out for Teradata DBA's for one of our clients BANK OF AMERICA based at HYDERABAD -INDIA.
Please go through the job description and let us know your interest on the same.
Database Administrators with progressive experience in Teradata Database Administration coupled Experience in using BTEQ, MLOAD, FastLOAD, FastExport.
Job Requirements:
• Exp in Teradata Database Administration
• Experience in SQL queries Performance tuning
• Experience in using BTEQ, MLOAD, FastLOAD, FastExport
• Experience in using Queryman, Teradata PMON, Teradata Administrator, Teradata Manager
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Nice to Have (For team member position):
• Exp in using MS-Office
• Teradata DBA Certification
• Experience in MVS Mainframe, JCL and Changeman
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Performance monitoring and reporting - Monitor system resource usage (disk, memory, CPU, IO ...)
• Proactive problem detection and correction for system related issues
• Create and maintain Database, Users, Tables, Views, Stored Procedures and Macros using established processes
• Schedule backup and recovery processes
• Monitor scheduled back-ups / archives
• Analyze and resolve production issues resulting from processing mainframe batch jobs
• Manage allocated disk space – database, user work, load work, and spool space
• Purge or archive obsolete data
• Interface with SIS production support
• Respond to unexpected database problems on an on-call basis
• Perform data restores as requested using established processes
• Approve/grant user access using established processes
