Cannot Drop Tables

I have created a new database and a few tables within it.
I can Select and Delete from the tables with no problems, but when I try to Drop them nothing happens. The Drop Table query just hangs. It's as though the tables are some how locked, but currently I am the only user on the box and am using a single user logon.
I am using SQL Assistant.

Can anyone help please?

Hi,

If you are getting any specific error message do share them to get appropriate reply.

Do check if there are any referential constraint exist in those tables, if so first drop all those constraints and try dropping the tables.
