I have notes field VARCHAR(72) that has some linefeed/tab characters. Is there an easy way to strip them off. I tried replace(col1,'OA'XC,' ') but it didn't like it.

Thanks
Anil

The function is oreplace, not replace.

It is only available if you have set up the Oracle UDF's, available from the Teradata website. (And you have access to them!)
If you want to strip off linefeed and tab, it it oreplace(oreplace('0A'XC,' '),'09'XC,' ')

The functions are available in SQL, TPump and Mload. You cannot use them directly in Fastload - load the data as is and then clean it up if you are using Fastload.
