SR. Analyst ETL/Data Wearhouse - Colorado
Daily Job Responsibilities

SUMMARY
Design, develop, test, enhance, document and deploy data warehouse extract/transform/load (ETL) processes using Informatica and SQL in Teradata and ORACLE environments. Monitor systems for stability, quality and performance. Analyze and configure job scheduler to run jobs in the proper sequence. Provide second and third tier production support for jobs that run in the production environment.
Ideal Candidate: They should be quality minded and have automated data validations processes. They also need a strong background in tuning queries. Any familiarity with AutoSys as a scheduling software and Teradata is a plus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Work hand-on with Clinets Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and Operational Data Store (ODS) systems.
Analyze requirements, create designs and deliver documented solutions that adhere to Clients prescribed Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology and tools.
Evaluate, determine root cause and resolve production issues using the HP OpenView ServiceDesk product. Requires some night and weekend work, based on a scheduled on-call pager rotation. Assignments will be delegated by management.
Work closely with other IT development groups to deliver coordinated software solutions.
Define standards and procedures, refine methods and techniques for data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) using Informatica v8, Teradata BTEQ, Oracle PL/SQL and related tools.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) in computer science or related field plus four years experience; or six years of combined education and experience.
SOFTWARE SKILLS
Three or more years of experience with the following software, tools and OS:
ORACLE 9i or 10g
Teradata v2R5 or v2R6
Oracle PL/SQL
Teradata BTEQ
Teradata Load Utilities
Job scheduling software like Autosys
UNIX, Windows NT/2000
FTP, PuTTY, SSH
PGP Encryption/Decryption Software
