Unica does not really run directly on Teradata nor does it take advantage of Teradata's strength in being able to process complex analytical queries. It requires pulling a data feed and results in the creation of another stove pipe situation with a separately managed server. Teradata's CRM on the other hand has taken an entirely different approach and has move all complex processing to the database end and is truly a thin client application that can be accessed from anywhere in the enterprise. Unica may have a more complex interface but where performance is concerned it has built in bottlenecks that can only delay delivery of the CRM related data to the Business which needs it to make decisions. It also does not have avanced Offer Management Capabilities such as those provided through the Offer Optimizer add in which targets customers based upon historic buying patterns and provides the first true Smart CRM solution.

UNICA on Teradata

Anybody out there with experience running UNICA CRM on Teradata?
