Dear All,

I 'm new to Teradata and have to deal with the following situation, I need to load the data from Teradata version 5 to version 6. I have around 600 tables to be loaded.

Ironically, when I installed the teradata the fastload, fastexport, multiload were not installed. If these tools are installed, is this the best way to load the data or can any one of you think of a better solution.

Thanks
Shash

Hi Shash,
FastLoad et.al. are part of the Teradata Client and not of the Teradata DBMS.

And the best way to copy x tables is a BACKUP on the old system followed by a COPY to the new system.
