Hi all,
we have a requirement for a Teradata DBA position with our direct client. The details are as follows :

Location : NYC
Consulting Assignment Duration: 3 month RTH
Bill Rate: $70-80 Max All inclusice ( Contract to Hire)
Tentative Start Date: 2 – 3 weeks from interview
Interview Process: In-person Interview
Job Description:
Teradata Architect for the Teradata ODS Project. This is a client-facing position having accountability for client expectations management while delivering the services and solutions associated with Teradata Data Warehouse offerings.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
§ Focus on delivering data warehouse solution utilizing Teradata, and related technology products including BI and ETL tools and external systems such as Oracle and MSSQL servers. Provide data warehouse consulting services, thought leadership, technical and industry expertise.
§ Demonstrate knowledge of data warehouse implementation process, from business requirements through logical modeling, physical database design, data sourcing and data transformation, data loading, SQL, end-user tools, database and SQL performance tuning.
§ Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of relational database technology (Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server) in an application development environment and a working knowledge of third-party GUI tools Conversant in current Data Warehousing topics.
§ Demonstrate knowledge of state-of-the-art data warehousing technologies, including OLAP end-user tools.
§ Great communication skills.
§ Works independently.
§ Enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelors Degree
· 8+ years in Information Systems environment with 5+ years developing architectural solutions
· Knowledge of diagramming and architecture planning tools such as Visio
· Knowledge of Teradata RDBMS and related utilities, connectivity and configuration
· Knowledge of non-Teradata platforms and architecture including networking, mainframes, Oracle and MSSQL servers
· Knowledge of end-user solutions including BI and reporting tools
Preferences:
· Teradata certifications
· GoldenGate experience
· Industry experience in Communications, Wireless or Internet
· Data mining experience
