UDF for MD5 Message digest

We are trying to use the UDF for MD5 Message digest and am having trouble.

We ran the make and it created the md5.o and udf_md5_latin.o files and when we run the bteq to create the function, we get the following error.

*** Failure 5602 Error creating UDF/XSP: problem accessing the external fil
e '/Teradata/tdbs_udf/usr/md5.o '.

The md5.o file actually exists in the location it is pointing to. Does anyone know what the issue might be?
