Teradata Community Relations — Teradata Cares

It's no secret that the people of Teradata make our company great. Their commitment to excellence extends far beyond the boundaries of their jobs and includes improving the quality of life in their communities and worldwide.

Teradata Cares
Volunteering unleashes the power of the human spirit, fuels individual passions, develops employee skills, facilitates teamwork and strengthens the bonds between our company and the communities where we live and do business.

Teradata Cares is a program designed to build strong and vibrant communities, improve quality of life and make a positive difference where we live and work. By working together, we can build a better world.

"The people of Teradata are the driving force behind all of our volunteer activities, and their dedication allows us to support our communities. Our Community Relations initiative echoes our commitment to our customers. With a global focus on science, technology, engineering and math, Teradata strives to create a strong future workforce, as we extend our pledge to raise intelligence for our customers...and our community."

Giving Back for a Brighter Future

We believe that developing student interest in technology subjects will lead to not only a stronger future workforce but a better world as well. That's why Teradata Cares provides grants for initiatives consistent with our company focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). In addition, Teradata Cares creates opportunities for employees to engage with their local communities in three key areas:
  • Improving education to help tomorrow's technologists and business leaders understand the possibilities that technology provides
  • Strengthening neighborhoods and communities
  • Helping the environment and supporting corporate sustainability

Employee Engagement

Teradata encourages employees to donate their time and expertise to improve communities across the world through Teradata Cares. Many Teradata employees also volunteer as members of boards of directors of nonprofits, in supporting shelters, neighborhood cleanups, mentoring youth and lending their considerable experience to a wide variety of community organizations.

Dollars for Doers — Volunteer Service Grants

Teradata provides financial grants to support and recognize employees who volunteer with nonprofit organizations through the Dollars for Doers program. Teradata employees may apply for a volunteer grant of $250 to a nonprofit organization if they have been actively involved with the organization for at least one year and have performed at least 50 hours of verified volunteer service during the previous calendar year. Dollars for Doers Volunteer Service Grants are not limited to STEM-related organizations or for STEM-related activities.

Community Service Grants

Teradata Cares encourages the volunteer spirit by providing funds for volunteer projects performed by teams of five or more employees. These Community Service Grants are available for projects that are located in the county/state where our employees live.
