The Partners Steering Committee is the leadership team for the Partners User Group. The Steering Committee provides candid communication and feedback to Teradata senior management on issues relating to Teradata and data warehousing. Members communicate via monthly conference calls and attend three face-to-face planning sessions per year. The Steering Committee is instrumental in planning, organizing, and executing the world-class annual Teradata Partners User Group Conference & Expo.

As the President of the Partners Steering Committee, Zappe has worked with Teradata systems since 1999. A Solutions Architect at Nationwide, Zappe's responsibilities include managing the database administrators, data modelers, and the Master Data Management IT team. Prior to moving to the Finance team, Zappe was the Physical Infrastructure Architect for the Nationwide data warehouse.

Rudolf Holzapfel has more than thirty years of experience in the whole spectrum of IT. For nearly ten years he has worked with Metro, one of the largest retailers in the world. Metro has implemented multiple enterprise data warehouses across its various retail channels. He is responsible for the IT-production and systems administration across all platforms and database systems including OS administration, capacity planning, systems integration, problem management, and performance management for the Teradata data warehouse systems since the first installation in 1997.

She has spent over twenty-five years working at 3M in Information Technology and has worked with GEDW since its inception ten years ago. Connie leads a team of technical and subject matter experts whose responsibilities include logical and physical design, load strategy design and implementation, performance, and workload management, data quality processes, and metadata.

Mark Cooper

Mark Cooper has worked with the Information Superhub project—the FedEx enterprise data warehouse—since its inception in 1994. The system migrated through three different hardware and database platforms (each one successful in enabling increased business value), most recently using Teradata (since 1999). Today, he primarily handles the technical direction of the Information Superhub, including architecture, planning, design, and implementation. Cooper holds an MS and Ph.D. in Computer Science (with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence) from UCLA, as well as a BS in Computer Science from Duke University.

Randall Parman

Randall Parman has been working with Teradata systems since 1989. He is currently the Database Administrator for the data warehouse at DineEquity, Inc. At DineEquity, he is involved with building an enterprise data warehouse. His responsibilities include modeling the enterprise, system administration, and planning for future growth and expansion. Prior to moving to DineEquity, Parman was the System Administrator/Technical Lead for the Teradata systems at Union Pacific. At Union Pacific, he helped direct the expansion of the Teradata systems from a 40 GB NCR3600 with 20 users, to a 3.2TB NCR5200 with over 4,000 users. His responsibilities included capacity planning, performance monitoring, and system integration of the Teradata systems with other technologies at Union Pacific. He has presented at Partners conferences and participated in forums at the Global Support Center in Rancho Bernardo, California. Parman has also been a member of the Product Advisory Council, serving as chairman from July, 1995, through October, 1999.

Erin's team is comprised of thirteen technical and business analysts who provide front line support for RBC's Enterprise Data Warehouse. Erin has worked on Teradata and several applications since 1999. She is a former member of the Service Focus Team, where she was Chairperson in 2004/2005, and is also a Teradata Certified Master.

Prior to joining WellPoint, Jamie held a number of leadership positions with EDS and other information and business consulting firms.

She directs the team that manages the day-to-day operations of planning and running the Conference.

Scott Gnau

As vice president and general manager of Teradata Research and Development, Gnau is responsible for all research, development, and sales support activities related to Teradata warehouse solutions. Gnau's organization includes more than 1,000 employees in San Diego, Los Angeles, Raleigh, Toronto, and other locations overseas.
Previously, Gnau was vice president of product strategy and portfolio management for Teradata, with the task of driving Teradata's continued investments in technology. Gnau and his team worked with customers, prospects, industry analysts, and academia to understand the market and continue refinement of Teradata's technology vision to meet the unique needs of the world's leading active data warehouse customers.

Strategic partnerships are critical to Teradata's strategy, growth, and the way it delivers value to its customers. McDonald's team is responsible for driving strategic partnerships that include Accenture, BearingPoint, CGEY, Deloitte, EDS, and SAP. These partnerships make available consulting and solution capabilities that provide additional value to our enterprise data warehouse and analytical solution portfolio.
With experience in consulting, sales, and marketing, McDonald has been contributing to the success of Teradata and NCR for over twenty-three years. His leadership and experience have also allowed him to work with many Fortune Global 500 companies, which has provided him a unique perspective on the marketplace.

Ritzinger has broad management experience including responsibility for the production of customer product literature and documentation; audio/visual sales support production, including sales presentations and customer videos; and extensive experience in managing customer events, seminars, and industry trade shows.

She brings strong organizational and communication skills and proven results in strategic meeting planning and program management to the successful implementation of the Teradata Partners Conference. Salsbury previously managed the Executive Briefing Program where she collaborated with the Teradata sales force to strategically brief executives in Fortune 500 global companies resulting in positive impact to millions of dollars in sales for Teradata. The Executive Briefing Program work provided Salsbury with a unique perspective on organizational structures and operations of Fortune 500 global companies. Salsbury was most recently program manager for Teradata University Network, a premier online resource for academics worldwide.

Miles Stephenson

Miles Stephenson is Vice President for Horizontal Solutions and Alliances for Teradata Corporation. He is responsible for presenting horizontal solutions across vertical markets and for establishing and managing the company’s most strategic business partnerships. Stephenson joined Teradata in 1993 and most recently was Vice President for Retail, Travel, Transportation, and Government, as part of the company’s Global Consulting Services. Previously, he held the title of Area Vice President, Retail East, where he was responsible for sales and professional services. Prior to this role, Stephenson served as Assistant Vice President of the Retail Solution Center, Americas. He joined Teradata from NCR, where he worked as the Lodging and Food Service Industry Marketing Director. While there, he worked closely with Andersen Consulting to develop a self check-out/in terminal for the hospitality industry. Stephenson earned a B.S. degree in liberal arts from Ball State University.
