To be competitive, companies are increasingly turning to analytics, which shows not only which products are popular but also details such as the price customers are willing to pay, how much they will buy and what else they are likely to purchase. The more types of data used in analytics, the deeper the analysis and the more complete the picture will be when a decision is made.
Suppose you are ordering eggs for a grocery store chain from three suppliers, called Alpha, Beta and Gamma. How could you capitalize on the data you have about profit margins, cross-sales and bonuses to make the possible decisions on your order form?
