The Teradata Certified Professional Program (TCPP) team, in partnership with our exam development vendor, Teradata education partners, and premier subject matter experts, has developed new Teradata Certification exams to include features and functionality in the Teradata Database 12.0 release. We wish to thank everyone who dedicated valuable time and knowledgeable input to the exam development and beta testing process.

The Teradata Certification team is pleased to announce that four Teradata 12 exams will be offered globally through Prometric Testing Centers beginning November 16, 2009. Two more exams will be added in December 2009

Authorized Teradata 12 training courses are suggested to augment your preparation for Teradata 12 certifications. Courses in the Teradata 12 Certification curriculum maps are available from the Teradata Education Network.

The six core exams in the current Teradata V2R5 Certification Track will be available at Prometric Testing Centers until March 31, 2010. You still have time to complete your chosen certifications in the Teradata V2R5 Track. All Teradata V2R5 Certifications achieved will remain valid and will not expire, but cannot be transferred to another track. To certify in the new track, a candidate must pass required exams and complete all criteria for Teradata 12 Certifications.

You've worked diligently to achieve Teradata Certified Master status. Keep your skills updated and demonstrate your Teradata mastery through the Teradata Certified Masters certification designation.

• Teradata V2R5 Certified Masters gain eligibility to bridge to Teradata 12 Certified Master status in the future. To join the elite ranks of the Teradata Certified Masters V2R5, you must successfully complete the six Teradata V2R5 Certification exams before March 31, 2010.
• Current Teradata V2R3 Certified Masters may upgrade to Teradata V2R5 Certified Master by successfully completing the Teradata Masters V2R5 Update Exam NR0-017. This exam will be available at Prometric Testing Centers throughout the year 2010.
• All individuals who have been granted Teradata V2R5 Master status will be eligible to sit for the Teradata 12 Comprehensive Mastery exam (to release in 2010) to achieve Teradata 12 Master Certification.
• The Teradata 12 Comprehensive Mastery exam must be successfully completed by eligible Teradata 12 Certified candidates and Teradata V2R5 Masters before the Teradata 12 Master certification will be granted. Teradata 12 Comprehensive Mastery exam release will be announced in the future.
