The Missouri Department of Revenue utilizes their Case Management System – running on the Teradata data warehouse – to give frontline employees and caseworkers current and historical views of all the information they need to resolve taxpayer compliance and customer service issues with a single contact. Improved tax compliance and collection are excellent examples of how information improves this government agency’s effectiveness.

Mike Davis, Project Manager, Missouri Department of Revenue

Mike Davis has worked for the Missouri Department of Revenue for over 21 years, with experience in both the processing and collections functions of the Department. During this time, Mike has served as the Department’s Fed/State Coordinator, Tax Manager, and is currently Administrator of the Personal Tax Bureau. Mike is also serving as the Department’s Project Manager over the Data Warehouse Project. During his career, Mike has been involved with identifying non-filing and under-reporting taxpayers in Missouri, and helped implement a process improvement project that made Missouri the #1 state in the country in turnaround time for processing income tax returns.
