Clay Stanley has run PayPal's Information Management and Delivery organization for over 3 years. About 3 years ago he separated from eBay's EDW with 4-nodes. Today he has a 24-node EDW. He decided to build PayPal EDW foundation on detailed transaction data. The warehouse has since expanded to support all aspects of PayPal business including marketing, global customer services, fraud and risk, financial products, and financial services. With that foundation in place, PayPal is now on the path to extend the EDW capabilities to active data warehousing to support continuous demands of a global financial company.
