    Bull Technologies helps its customers in the transformation of their infrastructures to net infrastructures. Bull designs and supplies infrastructures solutions, including a wide range of servers, most notably for e-business, data warehousing, networked storage, and security. The company provides a comprehensive range of specialized infrastructure services to enhance performance, flexibility and availability.

    Bull's leading position as a worldwide net infrastructure supplier is built on:

  • Strong relationships with leading suppliers of technology and solutions: Intel and ST Microelectronics for processors; NEC for Intel systems; EMC Corp. and STK for storage; SAP, and BEA.
  • A strong technological foundation with 1,000 engineers in R&D, based in Europe and in Phoenix, Arizona, who design and develop mainframes and the next generation of large open systems, and produce state-of-the-art software.

    Teradata Partnership

    In the large system world, Bull and Teradata a division of NCR have been partners since the mid 1980s. Bull has been selling Teradata Decision Support Systems for 6 generations of Teradata systems. Bull has developed its own host client software to support Teradata data warehouse loading and inquiry from its GCOS mainframe platform. Bull addresses the solution market together with selected ISVs, integrators and consulting companies.

    A Bull competence center for the Teradata offering has been based in Phoenix Arizona for many years to support U.S. activity. Bull also has a software engineering department to test and validate host client software as well as supporting prospects' pilot and demonstrations on its internal systems. Bull is supplying a complete solution to its customers. To do so, Bull trains its support personnel to become as self-sufficient in the field as any NCR field support organization, to promote and sell Teradata.

    In the United States, Bull has implemented Teradata data warehouses to provide decision support for large Medicaid programs in Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, and Utah.

    Outside of the U.S., leading users of decision-support systems include the French Army, BNP Paribas Bank, La Poste France and the Italian State Police.
