Teradata desktop widgets provide a range of useful, and even fun, information right from your desktop. You're just a click away from keeping updated on the latest Teradata.com content or a new word of the day ... every day.
Scope
The Teradata widgets are designed for use with Google Desktop. We currently offer three different desktop widgets for your use.
The Teradata Multimedia Center Widget — allows seamless access to sales resources across multiple content repositories from the Teradata user's desktop.
Teradata.com RSS Feeds — provides real-time access to Teradata.com news, press releases, podcasts, web seminars and other key Teradata information right on your desktop.
Teradata Word Of The Day (WOTD) — a Flash-based widget to broaden your sales and marketing vocabulary with a new "WOTD" every day...even before it is included in a dictionary!
Google Desktop Installation Guide
- Click on the link Google Desktop to open the following web page. Then click Install Google Desktop.
- Click on Security Bar and select Download File.
- Select Run.
- Select I agree.
- To choose desktop features, select only Sidebar with Gadgets. Deselect all other features.
- Remove pre-loaded, unwanted gadgets. Mouse-over upper right corner and exit to uninstall.

Double-click Multimedia Center 6.gg below. Choose "Yes" if Word dialog box pops. Choose Open. Then OK.

Double-click RSS 9.gg below. Choose "Yes" if Word dialog box pops. Choose Open. Then OK.

Installing Teradata Word Of The Day (WOTD) Widget
- Click Run when prompted.
- Confirm the recommended Destination Location by clicking Next.
- Select the default Start Menu Folder by clicking Next.
- Select additional icons to install (if desired) and click Next.
- Confirm selections on the Ready to Install by clicking Next.
- Click Finish to launch today's WOTD.
