Featured speakers

Philip Russom is senior manager of research and services at The Data Warehousing Institute (TDWI) and a well-known figure in business intelligence. He has worked as an industry analyst covering BI and related issues for Forrester Research, Giga Information Group, Hurwitz Group and his own private BI practice. He also focused on BI as a contributing editor at Intelligent Enterprise and DM Review magazines. Russom now works for TDWI, where he continues to research, teach and write about BI issues.

Mark Shainman is senior program manager for Teradata Master Data Management (MDM) Solutions Marketing, where he leads a team focused on promoting the value of data warehouse-driven MDM across industries. Based in California, Shainman serves as an advisor to large companies involved in data warehouse implementations and the deployment of MDM tools and processes. He has also managed a number of data warehouse programs for Teradata, including the Oracle-to-Teradata migration program and competitive positioning, strategies, market analysis and text analytics. Shainman speaks frequently in public forums and events on data warehousing and the business value of information technology and has authored articles on data warehouse topics, including MDM. He joined Teradata from META Group, where he was a senior research director.
