Teradata Corporation (NYSE: TDC) and Informatica (NASDAQ: INFA) announced today that Australian Pharmaceutical Industries (API) will implement a Teradata solution and Informatica's integration software for information delivery to support its pharmaceutical wholesale business division.
API is one of Australia's leading providers of products and services to branded and independent community pharmacies. It provides daily distribution of products to pharmacies through its network of distribution centers and regional branches throughout Australia.
API's new
Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) will include a Teradata 550P server with 2.1 terabytes of spinning disk, which is designed as an entry-level data warehouse server. Informatica will provide the data integration platform utilizing PowerCenter 8 and PowerExchange to support all the data management for the Teradata EDW.

The new EDW will support the ever-changing API business with better and faster information delivery to the business users. API expects a significant improvement in publishing routine analytical reports by the start of business the following day as well as providing more ad hoc on-demand capability to the user community.
