Teradata server equipment is manufactured to Teradata's specifications by Flextronics. Flextronics works together with dozens of its suppliers to implement the Electronics Industry Code of Conduct (EICC) throughout its electronics supply chain to incorporate EICC standards into every aspect of its business and to ensure that the EICC's principles are adhered to at Flextronics' sites. In addition, Teradata has worked with Flextronics to implement further environmentally-friendly programs regarding Teradata equipment, including the reuse of crates and pallets, the recycling of other shipping materials (such as cardboard and plastic), and having LSI, a disk storage supplier to Flextronics for Teradata equipment, utilize bulk reusable packaging for drives, controllers and drive modules for use with Teradata systems — which reduces packaging waste by up to 45%.
