Freescale Semiconductor is the tenth largest manufacturer of semiconductors in the world and the third largest in the U.S. Freescale chips and chipsets power products in a variety of industries, including automotive products and networking solutions.

After spinning off from parent company Motorola, Freescale needed a way to get up to speed and support corporate functions on their own, including financing and industry relations. Freescale chose an Enterprise Data Warehouse from Teradata, which, along with implementation assistance from Teradata support teams and consultants, has boosted the company's performance and operational efficiency. "Overall, Teradata absolutely has been helping us get to our end goal," said Bobby Ghoshal, Enterprise Business Intelligence and IT Manager for Freescale Semiconductor. "I think it has opened new doors, new insights into the business."
