With 38% of the global travel market, Sabre Holdings connects more than 60,000 travel agency locations with airlines, hotels, car rental companies, tour operators and cruise lines.
One of the most important parts of Sabre's business is its efforts to help hotels optimize profits, manage inventory and get closer to guests. Sabre is using an Enterprise Data Warehouse from Teradata along with Teradata business intelligence and analytical solutions to support business partners throughout its vast value chain.
Sabre created a customized solution for hoteliers, based on the Teradata Warehouse, called HotelVision to help hotel chains monitor their business and realize how much business Sabre brings them. Michael Hawkins, Director of Data Warehousing at Sabre, says that Teradata's unique ability to deliver historical data is helping suppliers understand individual customer preferences and market more effectively.
