In China, TravelSky Technology Limited (TTL) is the definitive source of information for the country's airlines, airports and travel agents, with more than 20,000 client terminals in 229 domestic cities and 79 international cities.

After benchmarking several systems, TTL implemented a Teradata Warehouse and Teradata Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) with hardware and software implementation, application development and support from Teradata Professional Services. TTL also uses Teradata FastLoad, FastExport and MultiLoad for populating its data warehouse.

With Teradata, TTL can maintain more data and access it much faster, providing airlines with current vital information on market share and origin and destination patterns. Teradata also helped develop an automatic code maintenance process, which eliminated TTL's reliance on maintaining code tables manually and inaccurate statistics resulting from missing data, while Teradata load utilities help prevent duplicate records from entering the warehouse.
