Matsuzakaya implemented a Teradata Warehouse solution to consolidate key Customer Relationship Management data. For the first time, top management gained an accurate view of the company's performance at the enterprise, store and department level. Floor managers in charge of sales promotions and inventory use this business intelligence to create more effective floor layouts. The Teradata Data Warehouse has also enabled Matsuzakaya to begin more aggressive one-to-one marketing, with in some cases even birthday gifts for high-value customers.
