Hyundai Department Stores

Hyundai Department Stores, one of South Korea's largest retailers, had a goal of reaching the right customers with the right offers through a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

Hyundai wanted a solution that would provide fast responses to users and perform complex, detailed queries. Following benchmarking tests and on-site visits, Hyundai chose Teradata. More than 90 users from the retailer's marketing department access the Teradata Data Warehouse to perform complex ad hoc queries and detailed analysis of data that is refreshed daily, including customer profiles, sales information and product activity.

Hyundai has increased its direct mail response rates by better understanding trends and customer tendencies through customer and sales data mined from the Teradata Data Warehouse. Users can easily extract the detailed data they need to perform in-depth analysis to shape Hyundai's marketing strategies.
