As a leading global express shipper, Chronopost International identified the need to develop a centralized data warehouse to manage vast amounts of data in systems around the world, provide near real-time data access, and create an integrated view of its business. Chronopost benchmarked four systems: one each from Sybase, Oracle, IBM, and Teradata. The Teradata Database provided the linear scalability Chronopost wanted, giving it the ability to use the same database platform to grow to an unlimited number of users and data sources.
