NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR), announced that it will work in partnership with the Pima Community College ITCAP Program, Tucson, Ariz., to provide essential workforce training for individuals seeking information about the Teradata warehouse hardware, software and
business intelligence solutions.
Teradata and Pima Community College have created a program designed to meet the knowledge management needs of businesses and their employees, while satisfying academic standards and awarding college credit for classes. The new program will offer a selection of nine courses in 2007 with others to be added in the future. Topics range from introduction to the Teradata database to administration of the Teradata customer relationship management solution.
Many employers provide funding for accredited education programs as a part of their employee benefit package. To begin the process, students apply to their employers to use their tuition assistance or tuition reimbursement benefits. Teradata then works with the ITCAP Program to enroll the student and process the documentation that will qualify the student to earn college credit. Students passing Pima Community College exams will be awarded college credit for courses taken either at a Teradata Customer Education Authorized Training Center or at their employer's training facility.

Since 1997, the Pima Community College ITCAP Program has delivered courses to more than 55,000 workers: job-based learning they need, when and where they need it. For many of its 35-plus years, has ranked among the 10 largest multicampus community colleges in the nation with an annual enrollment of over 70,000 students, 55,000 in credit course programs and 15,000 students in noncredit courses. Pima Community College is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and offers more than 5,000 active courses in 67 distinct program areas.
The partnership with Pima Community College enhances the existing customer education opportunities provide by Teradata Customer Education. The combination of hands-on classroom training and the Web-based training through the Teradata Education Network provides each user with a wide range of opportunities.
