For the past five years, Teradata has performed an annual survey among executives, focusing on high-level decision making. This survey explores attitudes surrounding ever increasing information and decision making, as well as current data warehousing and business intelligence issues. Changes and trends occurring year to year are noted and new insights and emerging trends are identified. The 2006 report reveals insights about analytics as driving competitive differentiation: a dramatic shift in the effect of decision making on customers, demand for real-time information, and distribution of critical decision making up, down, and across the enterprise.
