China Post Express Mail Service (EMS) Bureau employs over 40,000 professional couriers, operates more than 300 processing centers and more than 300 information platforms nationwide, has a first-class airline and road-transportation network, and provides next-morning delivery in more than 300 cities in China.

China Post's EMS Bureau has selected Teradata as the foundation for its new track-and-trace system. The solution integrates data and business information from EMS' branches, transportation and logistics network, and international cooperation and production systems to provide near real-time, detailed delivery information to customers. It also provides internal workers with accurate, timely information to efficiently handle internal inquiries and processes external inquiries faster.

EMS officials have said, "We are very satisfied with the current progress of the project and we believe that the new system will bring tremendous value to our business operations."
