Champion
As one of the largest supermarket chains in France, Champion relies on Teradata to help track promotional campaign spending. In the past, Champion was unable to determine whether a specific vendor-funded promotion used none, some, all or more than the allotted funding. In some cases, the company had to repay vendor funds, and in others, it failed to use available funds. Champion had no way to accurately track promotional spending.
Today, with a Teradata Customer Management solution, total spending and product purchase are identified and accumulated in a Teradata Warehouse so that the promotion can be tracked until spending reaches a pre-determined threshold. At that point, the system automatically generates an email alert to management to end the promotion. This new method has reduced promotional funding waste, enhanced marketing spend, and delivered new insights into marketing campaigns.
