Sears built its Strategic Performance Reporting System, which integrates sales, inventory and cost data, on a Teradata Warehouse. The system quickly became mission-critical, with user queries continually growing in scope and complexity. Teradata's Priority Scheduler Facility ensures that a diverse set of Sears users receive timely responses to their queries — helping fine-tune its buying, merchandising and marketing strategies to adjust to customer demand. Daily analysis helps the company understand what customers prefer and why, as well as accurately predict what they will buy in the future.
