Repsol has implemented an analytical information system that includes the Teradata Warehouse and the Teradata Distribution Logical Data Model (DLDM), as well as Teradata Professional Services. The system provides daily information about Repsol's transactions, utilizing Teradata DLDM as a roadmap to relate to all of the company's pertinent business areas. This facilitates immediate access and fast, accurate decision making about prices, assortment, promotions, purchasing profiles and other business-critical information. Future extensions of the solution will include aspects of the business such as stock, supplier analyses, logistics, margins, finance and the evolution of a customer management strategy.
