Zhejiang Telecom Co. Ltd. is the largest and oldest service provider in Zhejiang province of wireline telephone, data, Internet and leased-line services with 20 million subscribers.

In the face of increasing customer needs and fierce competition, Zhejiang Telecom Co. Ltd. has deployed a Teradata Warehouse in support of a company-wide initiative to shift emphasis from customer acquisition to increasing the profitability of existing customers. The Teradata Warehouse will integrate data from 77 source systems on 11 local networks and six provincial-level source systems within the organization.

Teradata technology will also automate and centralize data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL). The resulting system will provide Zhejiang Telecom with a customer-centric, single view of the business while enhancing cross-selling, churn detection, customer segmentation, operational analysis, decision support and more effective marketing.
