Xinjiang Telecom Co. Ltd., a provincial enterprise of China Telecom, provides national fixed-line networks and equipment for voice, data, pictures and multimedia communications and information services based on fixed networks.

Xinjiang Telecom has successfully deployed the first phase of its business analysis system based on a centralized Teradata Warehouse and Teradata data mining technology to support the company's decision making and marketing re-engineering initiative. The data warehouse has integrated data across the province to provide a customer-centric view of Xinjiang Telecom's business, while enabling the automation and central management of data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL).

Data quality has been greatly improved, enabling data mining initiatives for acquisition and retention of customers, customer segmentation, churn management and development of effective targeted marketing campaigns.
