NCR Corporation (NYSE:NCR), announced the availability of Teradata Managed Services, a comprehensive suite of service offer, which support the entire lifecycle of the Teradata data warehouse.
Teradata Managed Services expands and integrates existing services to deliver comprehensive operational support and enables customers to choose from a broad menu of services that maximize the value and performance of a Teradata investment. Companies can choose any mix, from using Teradata experts to train or mentor internal staff, to transferring all operational responsibility to Teradata. Services can be provided on-site, remotely or a combination of the two drawing from Teradata staff.
Currently available globally, Teradata Managed Services brings together Teradata Hardware and Software Support, Teradata Operations and Production Support, and Teradata Business Continuity Services and Service Management functions. These services include the implementation of best practices; management of service-level agreements; consolidated reporting; and resource, risk and issues escalation management.
Among its benefits, Teradata Managed Services provides Teradata experts to manage the business-critical Teradata environment. In addition, businesses are protected from issues that affect 24 hours a day, 7 days a week coverage such as staff attrition, recruitment, training, and vacations or sick leave.
