The solution brings together IST's power in soft matching technology with the enterprise data warehouse (EDW) leadership of Teradata, a division of NCR Corporation to provide joint customers with a unique corporate-wide searching solution. The solution will provide businesses with the ability to quickly and effectively search terabytes of data and match records, from multiple systems, using personal names, corporate names, addresses, social security, phone account numbers, and other identifying information regardless of data variation, discrepancies and noise characters.
The sophisticated match engine intelligently ranks, scores and eliminates unlikely candidates, reducing both computationally intensive tasks and minimizing expensive input/output operations. To overcome name variations caused by phonetics, transcription, keyboarding errors, nicknames, short forms, missing words, extra words, noise characters and sequencing differences IST's NameSearch® employs a multi step process to produce a key. At the conclusion of the process, a key, or a set of keys is returned along with a probability ranking.
