Shrinking Core, Expanding Periphery: The Relational Architecture of High-Performing Organizations

Teradata is called out as a great example of a high performing organization in a recent California Management Review article. The article examines how firms achieve high performance with a simultaneous focus on their top and bottom lines by aggressively developing and managing relationships with four critical stakeholders: customers, suppliers, partners, and intra-organizational business units. In collaborating with these key stakeholders, successful firms demonstrate one of the hallmarks of a new operating model-the "relationship-centered" organization.
