Can you get beyond compliance?

Compliance regulations can seem like obstacles to overcome. But companies are finding that compliance can be an opportunity to streamline reporting processes, with benefits to customers, shareholders and decision makers. As Lee Dittmar says in our cover story, compliance can be "a journey that improves enterprise governance, enhances business performance and creates shareholder value."
Your challenge is to get beyond COMPLIANCE by bouncing the red ball so it passes through all ten of the letters in COMPLIANCE, ending at one of the green dots at the right. Initially the ball is traveling diagonally down and to the right.
Place bumpers to alter the ball's path. The ball bounces at a 90-degree angle when it hits a bumper or a wall. For instance, by placing the light blue bumper as it is in the example below, the ball passes through L, M, P and E and ends at the second green dot from the top.
Remove the light blue bumper so you start with an empty board. What is the smallest number of bumpers you can use to get the ball to pass through all ten letters and end at one of the green dots? Notice there are bumpers along the top, bottom and left edges of the field, but none along the right edge. Solve the puzzle for a chance to win a Teradata varsity-style jacket. T
