NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR), announced that the Teradata Certified Professional program certification exams, designed to prepare individuals to work with the Teradata data warehouse solutions, were approved for reimbursement as an educational expense under the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs G.I. Bill.
The educational program and certification exams have been designed for individuals who plan to move into advanced career roles where they would design, implement, administer, support, maintain or write applications for Teradata warehouse solutions.
"This is a significant benefit to Veterans and their eligible dependents nationally who are pursuing a career using advanced technology like Teradata," said Oliva Baronner, Teradata Certified Professional program manager. "Once certified, these highly competent and experienced veterans will be able to support Teradata's market leading customers which span the globe."
Eligible veterans and their dependents are now entitled to receive reimbursement for the cost of Teradata certification exams taken on or after March 1, 2001. Other fees connected with obtaining certification are not covered. Additional information regarding the licensing and certification benefits of the G.I.
