Enabling a real-time enterprise (RTE) is a challenging puzzle. It requires a deep understanding of the underlying IT infrastructure, as well as of the business. As the business strategy defines the need for an RTE, IT must make the appropriate "moves" for a successful implementation.

He also emphasizes that this blueprint must be flexible in providing an assortment of options so that you can react appropriately as you negotiate the inevitable twists and turns encountered throughout the implementation.
