Ronald S. Swift is an internationally known consultant, educator, author, luminary, and strategist in the areas of Marketing and Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Financial Management, Business Performance Management, Demand & Supply Chain Management, Business Intelligence, Customer Services, and Electronic Commerce.
For more than 35 years, Swift has assisted hundreds of clients on six continents to achieve their strategies and goals. He is a popular and thought-provoking speaker at over 500 conferences.
Swift is Vice-President, Cross Industry Business Solutions for Teradata Corporation and he was in executive and managerial positions in the company (and its predecessors) since 1996. Prior to those positions, Swift was a senior partner with an International Consulting firm, following a successful 22-year career at IBM. At IBM, his contributions included field and headquarters responsibilities that spanned many customer implementation projects, marketing programs, teaching positions, educational development, and marketing functions for end-user computing, decision support systems, executive information systems, and Business Intelligence, along with strategy and business development roles in the USA and Europe.
His business and professional experiences cross numerous industries including Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Retail, Communications, Airlines, Railroads, and Government.
His contributions also include many years of teaching and guest lecturing at colleges and universities in graduate, management, and professional educational programs. For eight years he was a part-time instructor at a college while with IBM. Mr. Swift has also taught over one hundred guest lectures in leading universities and graduate schools such as UGA’s Terry Business School, Duke’s Fuqua, UPenn’s Wharton, NWU’s Kellogg, Michigan’s Ross, UNC’s Kenan-Flagler, SUNY, NYU’s Stern School, Baylor, Texas, Texas A & M, Rollins’ Crummer Business School, the Ross Business School at The University of Michigan, The Univ. of Augsburg (Germany), Univ. of St. Gallen and The BERN Univ. of Applied Sciences, Adolfo Ibanez University (Chile), The IPADE Institute (Mexico), and other leading institutions. In October 2002 Mr. Swift was awarded the position of Life Senior Executive Lecturer at the University of Georgia's Terry Business School in Athens.
Swift is the author of "Accelerating Customer Relationships" published by Prentice-Hall PTR and is currently working on another book about increasing business value and the economics of customer information and marketing through analytics. In addition, he has authored a wide variety of articles for numerous publications.
