Bill Cooper

As Vice President Sales and Business Development, Bill Cooper is responsible for the company’s sales, partner alliances, and business development in the government sector.
Cooper joined Teradata Government Systems in 2005. With more than 25 years of experience in the government sector, Cooper has held executive-level sales and business development positions at Sybase, Andersen Consulting, Sun Microsystems, and Cisco Systems. Cooper’s experience in the government sector spans defense and civilian agencies, systems integrators, and commercial enterprises. He consistently outperformed his quotas by securing major program wins in the government market.
Cooper began his career as an intelligence officer in the USAF. He served as the Chief of Combat Intelligence assignments with B-52 and B-1 wings and with the 7th Air Division at Ramstein AB, Germany. He also served in Desert Shield and Desert Storm followed by a tour at the Pentagon. He is a life member of the Air Force Association, and is also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and AFCEA (Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association). He earned undergraduate degrees in English Literature from the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina and Computer Studies from the University of Maryland as well as an MA in Management from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri.
