Taking these best practices to heart, Teradata's own data center and CIO, Diana Bolden, is honored this year in DaCEY Awards (Data Center Executive of the Year awards) with the Data Center Design Project Award. Separating from its NCR roots, Teradata's data center redesign reduced its complexity using server virtualization, an efficient rack cooling system and new storage architectures.
InformationWeek has identified and honored the nation's most innovative users of information technology with its annual listing, now in its 20th year, and has tracked the technology, strategies, investments and administrative practices of America's best-known companies. The Aberdeen Group, a leading provider of fact-based research focused on the global technology-driven value chain, named Teradata in their Top 100 Most Influential Technology Vendors for 2008. The Annual State of the Market Report out from the analyst group showcases the results of five years of research and up-to-date insight from 4,645 snapshot survey respondents.
Teradata was once again voted within the top 10 ranking list of "Business Intelligence" providers at #7 — up one ranking from January 2007. Teradata will be recognized within the Annual Consumer Goods Technology Reader's Choice list to be published in January 2008.
The Brazilian editorial group "Grupo Padrão," which publishes local magazines, confirmed Teradata as DW and BI solution of the year. This prize was given to technology solutions that confirmed business gains to their customers, voted by consulting companies and IT executives. The prize was received by Katia Vaskys, Teradata Brazil Country Manager, in a ceremony with more than 1,000 people from IT and business areas, representing Brazilian top 100 companies.
